Does anyone know if you can replace just the black top cover part of the dash or is it part of the actual main dash.

vivaro gearbox removal

Been in motor trade for ten year now and have some how avoided doing a vivaro clutch until now, just wanted to let you guys kno what way I done it! My mates a vauxhall mechanic so gave him a ring to see what the job was like, told me they wernt bad, take bumper, grille, headlights, radiator, front panels out and you can get right in about it, DONT TOUCH THE SUBFRAME, undo the 16mm not on the gaerbox mount, lower box down, remove the gearbox mount off the box and you can get the box far enough...

handbrake cables done

hi my handbrake was sticking , probably as i only use the van once a week sometimes, anyway got some new PAGID cables from Euro Car Parts , got them home removed the old cable from the off side , new one fitted in easily, correct end fittings. near side one (is shorter as the handbrake is offset) has the same end fittings on both ends, so one end to connect to the centre part is right but the other end which goes to the caliper is wrong, on the ends of the cables are 'balls' which connect up...

Vivaro Speedo ABS Problem

Hi I have a problem with my van it is a 54 model built January 05. The ABS light came on and the speedo stopped working. I have changed the speed wheel sensor and still doesn't work so it was then put on a diagnostics and was told that the van doesn't have ABS so I checked the connections on the ABS unit and they seem fine. I then had some else have a look and he said that his system also said no ABS on the van. Has anybody else had a similar problem. Cheers Sam

Sound of fuel sloshing about!

Hi new here and looking for some advice.

I've just bought a second hand vivaro. The tank was close to empty when I bought it so I've just filled it to half a tank and it now sounds like the fuel is sloshing about when I brake or accelerate. Is this normal for a vivaro? The noise wasn't there when I road tested it, it has only appeared since filling up. Could it be a tank/baffles issue? I would be really grateful for anyone's views/ideas/experience thanks in advance!

can someone do me a favor please?

odd request, but could you tell me if both rear fogs light up or just one?

all the years i drove a vivaro/trafic for i didn't pay much attention to which fog bulbs light up!


reason i ask is i want to get a vivaro/trafic for my self as after doing over 150K in them i love driving them.
i'm planning on doing a odd conversion in the rear as well, will be a LWB and half being comfort and half being tool lugger for my little business i have. i sell LED lights,...

First post so be gentle....... i've been looking at buying a cheapish van for work, ( im a plasterer ) as i currently have a chrysler grand voyager, which ive used for work and pleasure for 4 years. Always had astra vans, but now ive decided on a vivaro/traffic/primastar.

I've looked at a few, and they have been terrible. i wouldnt take them for free. Im not spending loads, say 3 or 4 grand at the most, as itll be covered in plaster soon. I went to look at a 2007 swb high roof earlier. it has...

Time for an oil change I think, ( now there's a sale in halfords)looked on here for some suggestions but there only seems to be conflicting views about 5/30 10/40 semi fully etc.

Hey guys,

Every month or so Ill take the air box off my vivaro and WD40 all the injectors ( JUST INCASE ) as we know they are buggers for getting stuck in, so yesterday i decided to take a few pictures as I went along so that anyone who visits the site can see clearly bits that generally pop up causing problem so here goes.

Iam i obligated to take my vivaro to frf vauxhall for servicing . As its under warrenty . It has just cum up service due . And they want £265 for the service . Cheers guys

worked out why one of my front shocks is leaking..... the shaft is bent.

looking at cheap and cheerful on ebay, anyone got any advice, or tales of ones to avoid?

Double din HU satnav in Vivaro

Has anyone recently purchased one of these cheap Chinese DDin 7" sat nav units with tv, radio, Bluetooth, rear view camera etc. These sell for around £120 Eonon or similar makes.
Just wondering what your thoughts are and if you have any problems or advice with them.
I know the tv wont work unless I buy the DVB-t box but that can wait till a later date.
I noticed they run windows ce and according to other forums this is now obsolete BUT better for these systems than android.
Just think one...

movano sliding door problem

Hiya I'm new on here need some advice about my sliding door on my movano van when I shut it on the outside it is flush but if you stand inside there is a massive gap on left hand side at the top which lets all the water in any advice can I adjust the door ? Thks :)

hi i am selling my van if anyone is looking for one, its a 2005 swb with the 6 speed box, fitted bulkhead, electric windows, mirrors and air con , 135k, mot till september i think (will check). Not sure if it's been covered before so sorry if it has.
I just had a quote off aviva not the cheapest but good credit charge if you pay by instalments and on
comprehensive policys they cover you to drive other vehicles. :):)

compression test cost

Hi can anyone tell me how much it should cost to do a compression test on a 2008 vivaro, i have been advised to get one done as i have white /blue smoke on cold start and a bit lumpy but after 1 min or so all is fine , not using oil or loosing water , all injectors have been replaced and re -checked including wiring to them as well .. thanks craig
