2005 - Fit double DIN stereo??

Hi all,

Firstly, I might be asking in the wrong place - do the old vivaro dashboards look like this?:

I can't help looking at the clock etc and thinking I could get rid of it and put a double din head unit in.. but the fascia kits I can see are for post 2011 vehicles.

Anyone done similar or think I best leave it alone?

Cheers,
Tim

Split charge system

Hi. I'm in the process of converting my Trafic into a camper. I want to fit a split charge system with my leisure battery.

My relay requires a trigger feed to switch it on connecting both batteries.

It suggests using the alternator but after lots of reading it seems like it's a bumper off job to get at the alternator.

On other vans I've read there are other D+ connections you can use. T4/5 use somewhere in the dash.

Does anyone know of an easier location/where the alternator joins...

Trafic passenger side rear door filling with water.

I recently bought a low mileage Renault Trafic 2012 and I have noticed after heavy rain, when I open the rear passenger side door, water run out of the drain hole at the bottom of the door. I've had the door handle panel off inside but can't see where it's getting in at.
The door bottom is lined with grease but I don't like the idea of the door letting in.
Does anyone else have this problem/know if it's normal, or if so where it gets it at?
Many thanks in advance.

Can anyone identify which relays are which in the engine bay of a 2008 Vivaro please. I’ve googled it, without joy, and in the Haynes manual it says they’re identified in the fuse box lid.......maybe they are, but not in mine ! Blank inside and out........
I’m specifically looking for the flasher/indicator relay.
Thanks
Andy

I managed to bend the springs on my ash tray a while back, I'd like to be able to put it back in the correct place again, but just need side-on photos of the ash tray, to show the shape of the springs and how they sit.

Can anyone take some photos for me please?

2005 Vivaro Sportive 1.9 ddci - Fuel Pump Failure?

All,

Started my '05 Vivaro this morning - all fine. It's done 193k miles.

Drove down the road, and it was hesitant/lumpy/felt like it needed to clear it's throat. It's done this before and then run clean after 15 seconds.

This morning, after 200m, it died.

It wouldn't start. Pumped the fuel prime bulb with my sons help and it started. We have to keep pumping the bulb to keep it running. Bulb stays full.

Stopped pumping and it died. And continues to.

Got Green Flag Recovery out....

Movano Roof rack mount points

Hi,

I have a MWB High roof movano that I want to fit a roof rack to.

Could someone tell me whether the fixed mounting points are threaded or if they are just holes in the roof for an internal spreader plate to be bolted to?

The previous owner has sealed the mounting points and it has a ceiling fitted inside so it's difficult for me have a look.

Cheers

Afternoon!
My van: Renault Trafic 2006 "56" 2.0 diesel M9R engine.
Had a misfire which was diagnosed with injector no3 problem. When I got down to the injectors, they were all partially submerged in water from the usual scuttle issue.
Wanting to put this to bed properly I have had all the injectors removed, holes cleaned up, injector sealing faces re-cut.
I now have 4 new injectors to fit. Here come the questions!
1: Shall I just fit the injectors properly, pump the fuel bulb a few times,...

Judders

Guys and gals

I have a couple of issues today.

First I seem to have a kind of hesitation or judder when going along on a steady light throttle. It's better with slight power and gone with any more power. In fact engine seems to be running rather well.

The engine judder when turning off the engine also seems to be getting worse. Is this an engine mount?

Could the first one also be an engine mount? Wondering if a particular engine load is causing the engine to move and therefore give the...

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help I bought a van the other day which has a strange issue,
the van starts fine, but as soon as it starts it has one of 2 results, it either works its way upto red line over the space of 3-4 seconds while not touching the accelerator. or it will sit at idle and the accelerator will do absolutely nothing?

This is my first Van and first Vauxhall so dont know of any common problems etc.

anyone able to help with?

Thankyou in advance
