Hey

Having such bad luck with this van ......

So got it all working finally and speedometer ain't working!! I've literally re built this engine and I can't remember what parts I've had out or not.

I had a thin brown wire by alternator out last, but it's a bugger to get out, but seems it's okay. Multimeters the speedometer wire (back of gearbox) and zero power and can't see where the relay is, but.......

When cleaning the blue plug, there were two black boxes, now I put blue plug back...

No power to Speedometer

Hi

Sorry for the long post but want to try to give you as much info as possible. I am hoping someone will be able to give me some pointers on how to fault find the problem with my van, I have read so much about what the problem may or may not be and so much of it is conflicting so I would like some advice on how to test things instead of just throwing money at it and replacing parts that may be ok.

The problem is severe lack of power, no engine lights, and haven't been able to find a OBD...

Hey guys,

Every month or so Ill take the air box off my vivaro and WD40 all the injectors ( JUST INCASE ) as we know they are buggers for getting stuck in, so yesterday i decided to take a few pictures as I went along so that anyone who visits the site can see clearly bits that generally pop up causing problem so here goes.

hi all.bought this van a couple of days ago.its a 57 plate 2ltr.starts 1st time but immiediatly dies out.took 7 attemts yesterday morning before i could drive away and 9 attempts this morning.drives fine once its running..hoping someone on here has the answer..thanks for your time

Hello folks, maybe someone can help me? Parked my Renault trafic up two days ago, went out today would not start. Turned the key all the ignition lights came on but the battery warning light went dim, turned the key further, nothing!?. So, cleaned all the battery terminals checked voltage,ok 12.79 volts. Still nothing but the occasional little click. Vans a trafic 2ltr. Anyone got any ideas??.

I own a 2004 1.9 DI Vivaro and went on the motorway recently.I normally drive exclusively around town so this was the first time on the motorway for quite a while.
Anyway after about 30 minutes driving i was going up a long hill and as the revs dropped the engine management light came on and i lost power.I pulled over and turned off,waited a minute and then restarted.
The light was off and power was resumed.I set off again and the same thing happened as soon as i went up a hill and the revs...

Been looking through different post on this site and amazed at how many different models of Vauxhall's have wet floors I went to disconnect my Vivaro battery the other day when I lifted up the floor mat it was wet and had slight surface rust are these vehicles made from Chinese remanufactured food colanders

Hi all

I am struggling to get rid of the service reset spanner and mileage warning from my 07 2.5 cdti Vivaro.

I employed the usual technique, throttle depressed, ignition to on, pump brake 3 times, and the spanner began to flash, but then did not go out or reset, so ignition off, release throttle. Now the spanner flashes each time i turn on, the mileage countdown remains, currently at 250 miles, and then the spanner goes to permanently lit next to the odometer readout until turning off....

The maintenance and faults section mainly deals with 01-14 vans. I havent seen much about the new shape and common issues / solutions.

So far the common issues seem to be immobilizer and starting problems down to loose earths, and bluetooth issues down to bugs in the headunit.

It seems these vans have the pk6 box we know and love. Should the box oil still be changed for Tranself 75w80 regularly?

How about the timing chains? Change at 100k as per the 2.0?

They seem to have fixed the...

Hi all,

My 2012 vivaro stopped last week had the fault read with error code po340. Just had the sensor replaced and now the van is back firing and running rough any suggestions as what else I should be looking at? Is the timing on a chain or belt in these vans?

Hi all. I'm new to the group so apologies if this question has been answered before. I have just picked up 2004 trafic that had captains seats fitted. I have exchanged them for a set of original seats. Problem is I can't reconnect the wires for the seatbelt pre tensioners. I have had a photo of the drivers side connection but it's the passenger side I'm struggling with. IV looked at 2 other vans but the wire colours Don't match mine. I have a vauxhall movano 2.5cdti 2004 reg. Due to last engine failing I have replaced the engine. Only to find a problem with the injectors in new engine so I have replaced them with my old working injectors. The van now wont start I am at a loss as to why. Any ideas o how to get this van started would be greatly appreciated

Hi Im new on this forum, I have a 2007 Vivaro I have had for 5 yrs, I acquired this van with 3 badly snapped injectors that the main dealer broke trying to extract, and very cheap too at the time. I rebuilt the engine with new injectors etc and it has run fine for 3 yrs until I started getting the warning lights and it going into limp mode when it is warm.
