DPF? Oil Spec?

Hi,

I have searched the forum but couldn't find the answer:-

I have a 2009 Movano 2.5 6speed Diesel and I'm trying to find the best oil ? 5w30 ? and also I'm not sure if my van has a DPF so I assume that will make a difference?

Is it possible to get he DPF oil and use it anyway incase it has a DPF or is that not recommended?

vivaro 2 din stereo

Has anyone on here changed there single din stereo to a double. I've got a 2012 vivaro and looking to fit a head unit with built in sat navigation and dab radio. The facia for the 2012 double din is very expensive, the cheapest I've seen online is 98 quid. I've got a budget of about 300 quid for this. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Outside temp sensor

hi guys,

Having trouble with my outside temp sensor on the vivaro. Firstly I couldn't find it after my dash kept saying -- but finally found it just behind front bumper, so bought a new one and still no joy, not that I'm too bothered but it's just one of them niggly things I want to get done

Any ideas guys

Hi

Sorry for the long post but want to try to give you as much info as possible. I am hoping someone will be able to give me some pointers on how to fault find the problem with my van, I have read so much about what the problem may or may not be and so much of it is conflicting so I would like some advice on how to test things instead of just throwing money at it and replacing parts that may be ok.

The problem is severe lack of power, no engine lights, and haven't been able to find a OBD...

vivaro check anti pollution light

hi all i have a 65 plate vivaro i bought it brand new from arnold clark since i have owned it its been back to them 7 times with the engine light on and check anti pollution its had new dpf soft wear up date some new pressure pipes and now its back on they say its my driving and i have to drive it up the motorway in 4th for 20 mins this fault just keeps coming back has anyone else had this thanks

Vivaro fuel tank.

Well its been hyper reliable lately.......
Until. Was driving along today when something started dragging on the floor.
Stops to have a look only to find one of the fuel tank straps has rotted completely and half fallen off.
It turns out that the wafer thin box section straps are riveted to the plastic tank .so when they rot joe average will go out to buy a new tank.......NOT.
The fix is. Break the strap off at the rivet and bend and drill some 3x30 mild steel.
Cover in split 3/4 fuel hose...

So today my friend and I swapped the drivers and double seat from my 2008 AA Vivaro with his twin fronts from his 2005 British Gas Vivaro..

All went as planned really, no major issues apart from both our airbag lights...

hello people I need help asap i have had the week from hell with my vivaro starting with Tuesday morning on my way to Kent from sheffield got to junction 25 and van went into limp mode at 70mph confused turned out that vacuum pump had packed up so no brakes.
Anyway back on the road yesterday van driving good thought I'd give it a bit of Tlc today with new brake pads before going back to Kent

hi all I have just purchased some 19 in insignia alloys to put on my 2008 vivaro but guess what they don't fit over the hub on rear of van the centre is to big for the alloys to fit over any help would be appreciated it's not miles around 3mm

this is my first post on this forum.
I am thinking of buying a 2012 Vivaro to tow my caravan on holidays because my motorbike can come on holiday aswell.I used to backload 7 Renault traffics at a time out of the factory at Luton aswell as the vauxhall nissan variants.My question is...........is the engine in the Vauxhall a Renault engine or is it made by GM.

Probably not possible but thought I'd ask I hate the lit up notches for fuel and temp much prefer the older needle clocks don't suppose they can be changed over ? 2008 115 ps 2L Vivaro

Hi everyone.

Hoping a few of you could give me some pointers on buying a vivaro.
I'm looking to spend about £2000 on a van for my new business. I've read so many articles about various problems these vans have so I'm looking for advice as to which year is best to buy, I've seen the vans go for all kinds of prices. They seem to have problems with injectors and gearboxes. Is the 5 speed better to get? And I don't mind what year the van is I just need a bit of reliability. Thanks in advance...

I have just purchased a Vivaro 2.0 TDCI 2010 plate and I am finding a few things confusing.

1) No trip meter?

2) Whilst listening to the radio it was suddenly interrupted by someone reeling off a list of options/ menu of items? So I recently bought my Vivaro van and it needed a wheel bearing done so I couldn't hear the gearbox when driving around. It was relatively well priced and in good nick body work wise so I took the risk.

After changing the bearing I took it for a spin and found as soon as you put it into 5th and 6th gear it sounds like it's overworking. I've done a little bit of searching on other forums and people seem to think this is a common Vauxhall fault. I've found people talking about it on the...

Could anyone reccomend a company that can do injector removal including re code the new one?

The ones Ive seen on the forum are all pretty far from me, were in Hemsby, Norfolk

It looked pretty bad so need someone who can deal with it if it snaps

vivaro won't turn over

My Vivaro wouldn't turn over the other day. I've checked the alternator and that's giving a reading of around 14v, I assumed it needed a new battery so I went and bought one but the STOP light and BATTERY light are still both coming on......inevitably it won't turn over again. I've checked all fuses and they're fine.....any help would be greatly appreciated.

vivaro 2.0 2012 no power stutter wont rev over 2k

180000km on the clock

shows injector fault on dash but when plugged to computer it shows boost pressure error

when it wont rev anymore that rubber intercooler pipe- the one that goes on turbo literally pulls itself in, and it blocks the flow, when let off the gas it goes to normal

buddy asked on opel and they said its egr or egr cooler and that flap inside is stuck and restricting the flow

i removed egr and throttle body, cleaned it and...
