Non start

hi I'm hoping someone can help me. Last Sunday I started and drove my van fine 70 miles parked up and stopped then went to start my van which she did to leave and on reversing she cut out all lights on dash went out so thought I might have stalled it. So went to start her up and just got a click from the starter which I thought was odd as the starter was only replaced 7 months ago. Anyhow I bumped her and drove her home and the battery warning light was on. Yesterday I replaced starter...

Hi, I'm new to the forum and don't like to ask for help on my first post. But hope somebody may have a suggestion.

My wife has a 2003 3.5ton "horse box conversion" Movano. We recently had a "reconditioned" engine fitted. New cam belt and turbo was also fitted.

Vehicle runs pretty well at speed but has an unstable tick over when started (hunting). Recently the van has started to occasionally cut out when stopping at junctions or slow manoeuvring etc. This happens when the engine has warmed...

Help, my 2006 vivaro 2.5 wont start after head gasket change.

The car ran just fine before taken the engine apart. Now it have rebuilt head etc. When trying to start there is nothing but it will fire on starter fluid. If i take out the glow plugs there is diesel on then. Does this car have a fuel feed pump? Does the diesel hp pump have timing marks? The camshafts and crank pulley is in correct position, but I am not sure about the lowest belt gear, the gear that is driven by chain from...

Single Stereo to Double DIN Stereo Fitting

Hi all, I have a 2011 Plate Vivaro, just wondering if anyone knows how much work is involved and if any parts are required for this. I understand I will need a facia adapter and a wiring adapter.

I have the single din stereo that is fitted in it just now like this one:

I am planning on putting in a double din stereo with Sat Nav etc...but not sure if I can just take this out and remove the...

MAF sensor fault?

Hello,

I have a question about my 2006 vivaro 2.5. If I disconnect the contact on the mass air flow sensor nothing happens. No warning light in dashboard , no differance in driving with maf sensor plugged in or not. Is this normal, or do I have a fault?

Glow plug light , ABS light, no speedo & check engine anyone had it?

I thought it'd been a while since my Viv ***ked up...

Glow plug error light went on & off a couple of times yesterday (doesn't usually). Today I got the ABS warning + Check Engine, then the speedo failed, now the glow plug light has come back to join the party!

If it wasn't for the glow plug light I'd suspect a failed ABS sensor but in this case I'm thinking further up the line towards the ECU, maybe one of those connector blocks. Anyone had this?

I'll see what OpCom says but it might...

hi all

does anyone on here have a full wiring diagram for a movano 3500 2.5 cdti 57 plate. either in paper form or electronic I've plugged our van into a scanner and it's coming up with a few earth problems that I want to check but I need to know where I'm looking hence the diagram.

Fuel filler cap/flap

Forgive me if this has been answered or addressed before, I have searched but couldn't find anything.

Anyway, I just noticed today that the fuel filler flap bit does not lock when you lock the van (perhaps it's not supposed to), this seems like a bit of a drawback as there is no means of protecting the tank, or the fuel within!

My 1996 Clio had a locking cap, so drivers key opening the filler cap.

My 2007 focus has a flap that locks when you lock the car..

Vivaro appears to have...

Central locking rear doors

hi i'm new to the vivaro. Purchased one the other day that has a few minor issues but nothing detrimental. One of the issues is the rear doors, they seem to only lock when you physically lock them with the key, but not with the key fob. there isn't even any sounds coming from the rear doors. Pleas help as its affecting my OCD's

Power Steering

Hi all,

I wonder if anyone has had this issue with their Vivaro.

2009
Vauxhall Vivaro
2.0 CDTI
90 BHP
127500 miles

Had a new power Steering pump not that long ago, now it seems I've a leak on the high pressure side around the top of the pipework that is behind the front bumper,
Has anyone had this sort of problem with there van ? Would it mean a complete new pipe or is there a repair i could do ?

Hope someone could shed some light on the subject.

Help please, I have tried to change the timing belt on a single overhead cam vivaro today and after doing it the engine is locking when turning by hand, I have the new belt marks on the marks on top and bottom pully, have not turned it over it was running, I have been messing since but only turned by hand till locking is felt, thought I had lost the marks so re timed, have run out of ideas, and help would be gladly received

Hi. Just tried to go out in my 2.0 vivaro this morning. Started fine then died after 20seconds. Service light (been on for a year or two and unable to reset) injector light and Stop light on when I try to restart. Turns over fine but won't start. How can I read the code? Do I need a code reader and where could I get one quick near Doncaster if possible. Service light wouldn't reset from about a year who so take it it's had some fault not letting it be reset.

Hi All,

Just been searching for the answer to my predicament, my Vivaro 1.9DTI 2004 has developed a fault.....only had it 3 days & I've broke it already ! :(:(:(

The air-bag & service light stay on once the engine is running, I tried doing the "test" holding the trip down with the ignition off, then on, the clocks all done their test as they should. But still the lights are on.

I slid out the aftermarket stereo as the radio wasn't holding memory, swapped 2 wires around + & ign +, so...

Fuel rail help

Evening all

Got a little problem, just took the engine cover off to see where the little fuel leak was coming from and realised a pipe had snapped of a plastic connecter on the fuel rail.

Could someone please tell me what it's called and where I could get one from?

starting problems

I have a Vivaro 1.9 which has been driving well. When I tried to start it today the dash lights flashed intermittently, there was clicking under the bonnet on both sides and the ignition just clicked. This happened several times then it went back to normal and the van started.

Got a callout (I volunteer for search and rescue) and it did it again, checked under the bonnet for loose connections but couldnt find any. Then all normal again and it started normally. Any ideas?

Maf 'o ring'

so for want of a better term because I don't know what it actually is or should be...I'm going to be replacing my maf soon and I notice the one currently on the van wobbles about when it's placed into the air box side obviously before being screwed in.
I assume there is supposed to be a rubber of some kind in there to seal it. Any idea if a new maf comes with this or where I can get one from that will fit and do the job? Thanks.

No instrument panel power

Hi as the title suggests I have no power at the instrument cluster / dashboard ,every thing was fine went out noticed no fuel gauge no speedo, no Rev counter and no background lights at all
