Removing armrest ???

Hi guys,

Can anyone help me remove the armrest on my vivaro drivers seat, I have taken the blank off and removed the knob that adjust the lumber support , but I cant seem to find anyway to remove the armrest.

anyone have any ideas

best engine/potential problems

Mates thinking about buying a vivaro for the use of converting to a crew cab and using bikes in rear.
Anyone tell me what is the better engine option on the diesel 1.9 or 2.0di or cdti and if there are any problems to keep ane eye on and what to look for when buying.
Looking at a used fleet vehicle,Ex police or ex telecom.

2006 Front Crash sensor location

Does anyone know the location of the front crash sensor and have a picture of what we would be looking for.

Have had 2 lights on the dash for the past few months airbag and service light, garage diagnosed it to be the front crash impact sensor and said they wouldn't be able to fix it only vauxhaul dealers can.

We want to check it for a loose connection or see if water is getting in anywhere as it only happens when it rains alot.

hi i had an auto electrician diagnose i needed a new starting motor & main fuse from trying to jump the van.
i have now fitted these to find the engine will not fire. i think what is the fuel system management light flashes after a few seconds of trying to start.

the van has had most components changed along with a recon engine and most of the fuelling system from what i can remember..

any help is well appreciated

Front Wheel Wobble

Hi All

I am new on here and own a LWB 2003 Movano which has suddenly developed heavy wheel wobble under load.
This feel like the wheels are oval and is really bad from 35 and upwards, but only under load.
I have replaced the N/S Driveshaft, there were 2 needles missing out of one bearing but the brand new shaft has made absolutely no difference.
I changed the Nearside shaft because with the van jacked up I noticed the inner joint rotating unevenly as the wheels were rotated.
So my guess is...

Vivaro rhd to lhd headlight conversion switch

Going round in circles re the changing of the headlamps switch from rhd to lhd. There is supposed to be a switch but manual says go to dealer, they were useless and clueless . Is there anyone who knows how to do this , all advice welcome thanks

hi all just sharing a problem that could have been avoided .I have a 54 movano from 3years old never had any problems 3months ago while driving a ticking noise started coning from engine bay . sounded like bit of belt catching . turned out to be one of the heater plug leads had broken off and had been sitting in a little puddle at side of injector ... it must of been of for some time as it had spark eroded a hole right into the cylinder of No1 .... garage could not save any of the injectors .....

Pulled the old AA loom out and removed the old racking (weighs a tonne!)...

Hi guys, My names Iain and I'm new to the forum, I'm hoping one or more of you may be able to help with an intermittent problem on my 57 plate 2 litre 2900 lwb 75000 regularly serviced pile of junk.

Right please bare with me this could turn into a bit of an essay,

Sometimes when I start up and drive the van feels under powered, as in have to change down a gear to pull up hills compared to when it's driving well, and generally have to give it more accelerator pedal than normal when driving my...

Key issues to prevent hassle, 1.9 my own prevention measures, Parts bill to date of £3000 this is the cheaper way to find out

Cambelt kit every 30,000 (Gates Kit)
water pump same as cambelt (Genuine)
Aux belt around every 2yrs (Gates belt) (Known to snap and snap the cambelt)
Injectors Yearly removal and re-copper grease
Replacement MAF ( Vaux / Renault / Siemens ) not cheap more hassle than they a worth
Glow plugs every 2 yrs (NGK) not cheap

Vauxparts is the dealer I use

Diagnostic disk

Greetings all,

Can anyone recommend a dignostic lead/disk so that I can test my 08 Vivaro. Glow plug and spanner lights come on intermittently resulting in temporary reduction in power. Switching the van off and restarting has been curing it so far, but would like to get sorted before it lets me down completely.

Ideally listed on EBay.

hi guys i want to buy a copy of op-com so i can read live data for my 2.5 vivaro 2005. does anyone have one i can buy from them of know where i can buy a copy from that works?? lots on the net but most with bad reviews,
I need to know what one to buy plus do they come with a lead from obd2 to usb.
Basically i need everything to make it work on my lap top
any help would be greatfull

I found £5 in change in the cab after taking out the bench seat to clean the mat properly. Result :D

Oh and loads of crud in the foot wells under the plastic where it can obviously get a bit wet. No drain holes in this area either so i'll be checking here periodically just in case.

How to remove the crankshaft pulley??

Hi all

New here so please take it easy on me!!!

Looking for a bit of help. I'm currently trying to do the cambelt on my 2003 vivaro 1.9DTI.
I'm having a mare trying to get the crankshaft pulley off.
1) Is it left or right hand thread?
2) Do I absolutely have to have a locking tool or has anyone discovered a different way?
3) Having found the plug at the front of the engine for crankshaft locking, I'm assuming I can't put something in there to lock it as it would likely snap whatever I put...

How to remove the crankshaft pulley??

The flashing warning lights are back...

Hi again guys, a few weeks ago i posted about the intermittent flashing I had on my dash, which apparently vanished of its own accord after the auto electrician had been over the loom.

Anyway long story short it's now back and worse than ever! I noticed it creeping back a few days ago, again while accelerating, and today it actually came on and stayed on for around 5 seconds before flashing again, then stopping until I accelerated again. It's the STOP light and the bottom left battery light...

The flashing warning lights are back...
