vivaro 04 glow plug light on P0105 & P1635
Hi all,
Have a 04 Vivaro van running poor and losing power with the glow plug light on. Friend has same van so tried few parts to see if it made any difference: Tried Boost Pressure Sensor and Solenoid, EGR valve and mass air flow meter no change.
Got a diagnostics check done which came up with the following two codes P0105 & P1635.
Just wondering what your taughts are on it. Find it hard to believe that one of the glow plugs could be causing it to loose power and run poor, havent check them...

Vivaro won't start when cold
Hi,
I have a vivaro 2005 2.5 that is a 'lazy start' in the summer and won't now start in the cold mornings.
I've had a leak off test done and a compression test and leak down test. This was for a previous fault; where the rocker cover gasket had blown internally injecting turbo'ed air into the crankcase and out the breather into the turbo - nice. All fixed a year ago.
The story is, it wont' cold start at all (Below about 2C) and it won't start on the button when warm. It's been that way...

Locked SIde door problem
Hi Peeps
OK I have a problem on the Mrs Vivaro passenger side door, Its closed shut and will not open, I cant here the central locking working on that side, Ive stripped the inside panel off the door itself and checked all the cabled from the outside handle and inside handle and lock/open toggle on inside, Tried the dash button, that works on all other doors fine. This is driving me up the wall at the moment, I thought at least I would be able to get it open from the Mek inside then strip down...

Oil light
Hello
I would love if someone could tell me if the oil light should go off before the engine starts on my vivaro 2900
It's a 2009.
If it should how can I tell if I have good oil pressure on my new engine ?
Regards Barrie

Should i replace the waterpump also?
I need to replace my cambelt at 150 k Miles it was last done at 84K should i replace the waterpump aswell this time as it was replaced at the 84k service.
Its done 135000 miles now, and apart from the no acceleration from cold ( needs an ECU update) its been great.

double din sat nav. steering controls
Hi. Has anyone fitted on of the XTRONS or ERISINS style double din sat navs to a 2011> vivaro. Obviously I will need a fitting kit. But the main thing I'm interested in is connecting to the steering wheel controls.
Many thanks Adam

Engine rattle / tapping / clicking noise between 1k and 2k revs
Hi All,
I'm new to the forum![Smile :) :)]()
I have a 53 reg Vivaro 1.9...
Between 1k and 2k revs I can hear an annoying rattle, tapping or clicking noise... The noise only starts when the engine is warm. It occurs going from 1k to 2k revs and coming back down from 2k to 1k revs... The noise stops as soon as it goes beyond 2k revs.
Is it valve clearance do you think? If so is it easy to fix?
Many Thanks,
Andy

Blowing window and wiper fuse:Vivaro Sportive
Van is a 62 reg sportive. Keeps blowing the 15A fuse for the windows and wipers.
The fault first occurred around 4 months ago, but had re- appeared. The diagram on the fuse box lid also doesn't seem to match the fuse locations either!
Seems strange that it would be one fuse for both wipers and windows?
Any ideas out there would be very welcome!

Broken Glow Plug connecter
While trying to solve my starting problem on Friday night i accidently hit off one of the glow plugs and broke the black plastic housing, I have taken the plug out and tested it with a battery charger, works fine. Question is do i need to replace all 4 connectors or can i replace just one also is there an easier way of getting the plug off of the connector as they are practically welded on.

[Vivaro] Seatbelt mounting
As of the weekend I'm now the proud owner of a 55 plate Hi-Roof that I'm going to gradually camperise. One of the first jobs will be to swap the original seats for the ones from my old Saab (She Who Must Be Obeyed is pretty firm on that point
).
In order to swap out the original seats, it looks like I'm going to have to move the seatbelt mountsmounts, particularly for the passenger seat which will be mounted on a swivel. The obvious alternative mounting would be to get a right-angle bracket...

i have a problem with my 2001 movano key fob. Normally when i place the key in the ignition and press the fob button (single button) and turn the ingnition on, the immobiliser light on the dash display goes from flashing to solid. But recently it has been getting worse where it takes a few times to get the light to remain solid. Last night i couldn't get the immobiliser light to go to solid therefore not able to start my van.
Does anyone have any ideas what this could be? i have...

New Instrument Cluster not displaying clock & odometer
I treated the Movano to a new instrument cluster - as the old one had a crack in the plastic screen and the speedo stops working every now and again. I found a brand new unit on ebay - with the correct part number.
When I came to fit it though - although all the lights and dials work - only the trip meter is showing - so I loose the odometer reading and there's no clock either.
Have I missed something?
Cheers.
John

Engine cutting out, P0190 Fuel Pressure Solenoid Valve Circuit Low Input, but valve is new, help!
Hiya,
So I put my faith in Op-Com & splashed-out on a new solenoid valve (fuel pressure regulator, bolts onto the fuel pump & lets diesel fill the rail as required). Engine fired up but then cut out after a few secs with the same P0190 code as I was getting before, so no change with new valve.
If the fault's not with the valve & guess maybe the wiring to it is on the blink? Can anyone point me to what wires/connectors to check, or any other ideas to what's wrong?
Thanks!
