upgrading to intermittent wiper
Hello,
I am getting really annoyed by not having an intermittent position on my wiper switch of my 2001 Vivaro. There are only two settings: slow and fast.
What do you guys suggest how could I upgrade this system to one where I can adjust the timing of the wipers?
The only solution that comes to mind is a potentiometer type unit that could be mounted on the dashboard or the steering column somewhere and when I turn on the wipers to the first notch, the speed of the wipers would depend on the...

3 Gearboxes, 1 Clutch, Oil Change, Crunch (NFP 75/80?)
Hi all,
Last year I had a recon box and new LUK clutch fitted to my 2003 Renault Trafic 1.9dci.
Shortly after I returned the van to the workshop as there was a crunch going into 2nd and the gear change was heavy in all gears. After sending me away with a few tweaks and change of oil to a thinner grade the problems were still there but the gears did engage a bit more smoothly.
I was still unhappy with the crunching noise when going into second whilst the engine was not up to full temperature...

Where is my OEM Alarm sounder?
Does anyone know where the alarm sounder is on an 2012 vivaro sportive?
Indicators flash when alarm is activated but no siren. Is it supposed to use the horn maybe?
Had a look round the engine bay but nothing there obvious.

dents in side of van
can not belive my luck. Just scratched all round the back wheel arch against my bloody wall. I have now a dent on the top left of my arch. Does any one know the best way to get dents out,inside my van has been ply lined. Cheers

Vivaro power steering pump
Steering pump went on the 2004 Vivaro 1.9, all the fluid came out of the seal
Bought a new pump on eBay from Renault, it says it fits Vivaro and Nissan but the spindle that the wheel goes onto is smaller that the Vivaro one, everything else looks the same
Anyone any experience with these pumps?

2003 1.9 vivaro takes a few cranks to start cuts out above 3000rpm
hi I have a 2003 1.9 vivaro that's suddenly hard to start it takes a good few cranks to start it idles fine but when driven above 2500 - 3000rpm it cuts out and the stop light comes on. if I turn it off it starts strait back up again after a few cranks. when its driving it drives normally until it cuts out. I have had it on opcom the only codes were vehicle speed sensor malfunction and dash instrument cluster incorrect . I have changed the battery any help much appreciated. thanks kevin

sorry if this question as already been asked but I'm new on here and can't find any info on the problem.
my 3rd brake light not working on a vivaro van i just purched. I've taken out light fitting and the was no bulb so went to fit a new one and noticed there no metal tab to contact the centre of bulb and only 1 connection for the wiring to connect to. I'm guessing this unit needs to be changed. any help please

New vivaro First drive
hi i got a new vivaro hire van today ( i was told i would get a transit) . First impressions are good, it feels like home !! if a bit newer than mine. The spec has electric windows and mirrors, reversing sensors , bluetooth for the phone etc, sadly no air con or CD player. Its a long wheel base 2900, not sure what lump is up front though. The dash has been redesigned and has some storage but nothing like the transit with openable storage on top of the dash, the glovebox isnt lockable either....

Accessory switches
I have a Movano, which has a bank of blank switch holes in the dash. Does anyone know whether Vx sell one specifically for flashing beacons/light bars (with a beacon symbol etc)? I'd rather fit a genuine one than drill the dash to put in a generic one. I'll check with my dealer tomorrow, but thought I'd ask on here.

van wont start after engine change
thought I would start a new thread on this swapped a cdti for a dci everything went ok with swap van turns over fine but doesn't fire,no fuel coming past pump except when ignition off and turned by hand, turn ignition on nothing coming through!! assuming its a immobilizer problem van was sat with flat battery for a month before this swap anyone help???

Vivaro gearbox removal - Stuck?
Hi - Been trying to get the gearbox off my van but seem to have come to a standstill, it won't come off!
I've unbolted everything as far as I can see, popped the passenger side balljoint etc to swing the leg and driveshaft out, lowered the box but it just won't move! I was hoping to slide it off the drivers side shaft, does it need to be removed first? Starter is also unbolted.
Any ideas guys? Driving me mad now lol

Power Steering Pump
Hi all, if any of you have a bad P/S pump then you dont have to buy a new/recon one (£170plus £100 refundable deposit till you send back your old one)
There are loads of different motors that use this delphi pump from lagunas to mitsubishi so get ya self down the scrappy for a spare. You can also strip these down very easily too and interchange parts.
If you need to remove one the first thing you need to do is see if the top flare nut on the high pressure pipe (the metal one) will undo....

What is the source of this noise in the transmission area?

at this time it isn't about my Vivaro but someone posted a youtube video about his 2004 Vivaro emitting a strange noise in idle up to 1500 rpm:
- The noise goes away when he presses the clutch pedal in,
- while driving you can hear it only in the first gear up to a certain rpm.
According to him the flywheel isn't a double mass type. He changed the clutch disk (Topran brand), it didn't make any difference. He also changed the bearings in the...

Fuel pressure regulator?? Please help
I have a 56 plate face lift model vivaro. Today I was driving a short distance and the two red engine stop warning lights came on. These continued to flick on and off for the duration of the short 5 min trip. Each time they came on for a second the van lost power then they went off for a few seconds then back on and so forth for the duration of the journey. Sorry for the outburst guys but I needed to get it off my chest. Anyones help would be so gratefully received.
In a previous thread I explained the current situation with my van.
I was loosing power in all gears and took the van into a local garage. They put a ECU scanner on with astronomic results.
8 fault codes:
6166: Preglow system
6182: Preglow system
6274: Pressure sensor or Pressure Distribution Pipe
6146: Intake air temp sensor
