Does anyone have a link/set of plans for dimensions for a ply floor for a SWB please?

Hi All, new onwer of one of these vans which I purchased with a fault but the price was worth the gamble even if I scrapped it or chucked some money at it for a new engine etc.

Basically its a 51 plate diesel 1.9 van.

The van starts fine and idles quite sweetly.

Try revving it and it appears to struggle building up the revs.

When driving under load it does much the same with struggling up the revs and pumps out black smoke which smells more of unburnt fuel rather than oil. It really...

Evening guys,
I've seen a few astra sport vans recently that have been modified, ie: lowered, alloys, new grilles etc. And they look proper tasty.

Is there anything available for the vivaro along these lines?
Grilles?
Headlight upgrades? Hids? Or black surrounds?
Brakes? They have discs all round, can you get bigger or better pads etc?

I just want it to stand out a bit from the growing masses that seem to be on the road.

Anyone have pics of their vivaros with a few mods?

I'm quite...

Trip Computer / opcom ???

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has managed to get the trip computer fully functioning using opcom to change the BID/CID parameters? This has been done on many vaux's before as a lot of us know including those with only two line displays. However, I have not seen any concluding results of this on here regarding Vivaro etc?

If anyone has managed this ( I will be trying when I get five mins) can you post up the sequences you changed to enable it.

Many Thanks

Lee.

Random cutting out and restart

Greetings everyone,

I have a 2003 lwb vivaro about a year, last week it just cut out pulling out a junction. It started a further two times before completely dying. The 'stop' light was on along with the red engine stop light (this was flashing). When trying to start it it turns over but fails to fire. I opened the injector and no fuel was coming out when trying to start.

Went to get diesel in little hand held tanks and When we got back the dash lights were back to normal so I tried to...

more pics as i continued to strip off parts. View attachment 7886 timing case removed to show oil pump chain drive, the chain is slacker than i expected. View attachment 7887 flywheel showing gap in teeth, this gap is what the crank sensor picks up on the register engine speed. View attachment 7888 crank shaft rear seal, approx 100mm diameter. View attachment 7889 valve protrusion when fully open, not surprisingly you get bent valves when the belt snaps ! View attachment 7890 belt tensioner on...

you can test the glow plugs one of two ways, either in situ as in picture one. View attachment 7891 or remove and test out of the van View attachment 7892 . I use a battery charger as this has a current display so you know how much is being drawn by the plug, it should be 9 to 10 amps per plug.

water pump renewal.

just a couple of tips for when replacing a water pump, always replace the water pump when changing the cam belt, it might seem ok but can fail and ruin the lump. when fitting the new one (insitu) put 2 studs in the top and bottom holes , this will hold your gasket in place and allows you to align the water pump and then fit the remaining bolts without the gasket slipping down. make sure you put thread lock on the 2 short bolts which go at the 8 and 11 o clock positions to stop water escaping...

i have continued stripping the lump i have to get parts for guys on here, i have took some pics to show where bits are and how they come off. bit of reference for newbies. View attachment 7874 first pic shows how to lock the crank so you can remove the crank pulley and the flywheel. View attachment 7875 second pic is of the timing mark on the crank belt driver, this is correct at the 7 o clock position. View attachment 7876 this puts the No1 piston at TDC, notice how high it...

Hi There,
My name is Valerie
I have just acquired a Vivaro with 56 miles on the clock and in excellent condition EXCEPT the floor to the right of the sliding door is getting damp.
I fitted a new seal to the top of the door opening but it hasn't helped. Any ideas????

Missing my arm rest. Retrofit ideas pls

Just got a new eco flex vivaro, lovely to drive but really miss the armrest. Iv had a poke through the trim to see if there is a fastner there to retro fit one but there feels like it's got nothing to fix into.so if that's the case I'm thinking maybe buy an armrest and adapt/make a bracket to bolt on to the bulk head that slots in between driver & passenger seat which I can just pull up/down
Has anyone done this, ifso from what make and model of motor worked best for you

Hi all,

Looking for a new key for my 2008 Vivaro Sportive.

If I look for Vivaro remotes on eBay, they all come up as the 2 button type I had on my 05 Trafic.

Mine has a 3 button remote. I can find these on eBay by searching for Renault items.

Anyone else find this?

Cheers

Phil
